Sam Shrank, AssociateSam brings a background in energy systems, environmental engineering and economics to GreenOrder. He has worked with utilities and national and local governments on how best to modernize their electricity systems. At GreenOrder, Sam has worked with a leading electric and gas utility to define and implement a long-term customer strategy, with particular focus on energy efficiency and natural gas conversion. He has also advised clients in the chemical industry on the creation of product standards, value chain and other stakeholder engagement, and new product development. Prior to joining GreenOrder, Sam worked at the Worldwatch Institute as a Climate and Energy Research Fellow, advising Caribbean governments on their countries’ potential for renewable energy growth and related technical considerations. He began his career with the Border Green Energy Team in Thailand, installing renewable energy systems, including photovoltaic arrays, micro-hydro facilities, and anaerobic digesters, in off-grid villages.
Sam holds a M.S. in Civil & Environmental Engineering and a B.A. in Economics from Stanford University.
