Raiden Hasegawa, AnalystRaiden comes to GreenOrder with a background in econometrics, environmental economics and wholesale electricity markets.
Prior to joining GreenOrder, Raiden was an investment analyst at DC Energy in the Washington, DC metro area where he traded electricity in wholesale markets. He has experience in several US wholesale markets and was an integral member of the team that developed the DC Energy strategy in the California market. As an undergraduate, Raiden interned at Arup, an engineering consulting firm, where he worked as a researcher on the ECCO (Evaluation of Capital Creation Options) project. The ECCO project examined the effects of different policy scenarios on the UK economy and its energy and physical materials use.
Raiden graduated cum laude from Yale University with a B.A. in economics. In addition to his studies in economics, he completed graduate course work in environmental hydrology and energy systems analysis at the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. His thesis examined the effects of random adverse weather shocks on the financial health of the federal crop insurance program.
