Serving as a trusted strategic advisor

GreenOrder advises General Motors on a broad range of environmental strategy issues, including petroleum displacement through vehicle electrification. Our work with senior GM leadership includes facilitation of a pioneering and industry-leading utility working group to prepare infrastructure for electric vehicles like the Chevrolet Volt.
General Motors's Challenge

General Motors (GM) retained GreenOrder to:

  • Focus its sustainability strategy: Ensure that GM's strategy remains targeted and credible
  • Support communications: Deliver an authentic and substantive message on corporate and brand sustainability initiatives
  • Facilitate relationships: Support outreach and partnership opportunities for environmental leadership

  • GreenOrder's Approach

To tackle these challenges, GreenOrder has focused on:

  • Stakeholder outreach: Facilitating outreach opportunities with NGOs and other thought leaders for dialogue on key programs and initiatives
  • Green marketing: Providing analysis and recommendations around messages related to sustainability and green jobs, as well as high-profile communication channels
  • Partnerships: Facilitating critical business partnerships, such as the pioneering collaboration with major US utilities and the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) to prepare for the roll-out of plug-in electric vehicles

  • GreenOrder helped GM facilitate partnerships key to the rollout of the Chevrolet Volt

    Results

    Through our work, GM has:
